1.
Hi Keith, I have used a 35-70 for many years on film cameras very succesfully and it is now my walkaround lens on a D700. I have always found it a very sharp and versatile lens. When using it though, I set the cameras auto ISO to change up at around 100/125th as I have had problems with camera shake with such a heavy camera/lens combination.
If you are interested I have set up a D700 users website and forum at http://www.d700users.com/

  2.
Hi Paul, I've had my D700 for about 2 months now, and was initially very disappointed with the results I was getting compared to my D50! I mentioned it to my friend, who is a printing boffin; he suggested I bring him a file over for printing, the resulting print (@ISO 1600) was superbly detailed and ended all my concerns. If anyone is interested in joining I have started a D700 owners website and forum at http://www.d700users.com/

  3. I've recently bought a 5x7 Stand camera. It has a Dallmeyer Rapid rectilinnear

lens as well as A Kodak lens on a board which seems to be a later edition dated

1913 with a ball bearing shutter. the plate on the back says "The Standard"

    Pearson and Denham Leeds.

Does anyone know any thing about it.
