Hello there,
I have a great friend who has offered to sell me his 1Ds Mark II, in excellent condition, for $1700.00 (it was his fathers who passed away and he has no use for it)
My question for you..
Should I get the 1Ds Mark II or
a used 5D for less or
Save a little and get the new 5D.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
Thanks for helping.
I am running Windows XP.
I have an ATI Radeon 9550 video card and on the side of the box it says:
4 parallel rendering pipelines
256 MB DDR memory
AGP 8X
HYDRAVISION dual monitor support
TV and Digital Flat Panel support
Don't have a clue what it all means, but there it is.
Thanks again for everything..

Hi gang..
I have a 2 year old 19 inch Sony flat panel monitor (Sony SDM-S91) and Sony
does not make this version any more.
I am going to purchase another monitor for digital editing (photo's and video)
and was wondering a few things.
Would you recommend getting a Sony 19 inch flat monitor even though they don't
make the version I have or..
should I just get another 19 inch from a different company that will be
cheaper (Dell or Planar etc)
Finally.. what monitor calibration software do you belive handles duel
monitor's the best and if I go the different brand route for my 2nd monitor,
do you think this software will make their colors "equal"?
thanks in advance for your time..
All the best..

Hello All--
I am wondering if anyone has used the Manfrotto 322 Grip action
ball head. I searched photo.net and read the reviews of the
older "manfrotto 222 Grip action ball head" that looked like a
joystick.
It got destroyed on its reviews when using 300mm+ lenses.
I have a Canon 10D with my biggest lens being the 70-200 F4 and
will be using a 3001 BD tripod.
Any suggestions/reccomendations on the combination of the tripod
and the 322 ball head or the 322 ball head in general is most
appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time..

Hello all--
I am a 6-feet, own a 10D, 28-135,17-40 and a 70-200 and carry them
all in a Lowepro AW Minitrekker backpack.
I am in search of a tripod to attatch to the backpack when I go on my
trips.
I mostly shoot landscapes, people and sunsets.
I did do a search on previous posts, but since many of the posts are
older, the style numbers and models of the reccommended tripods are
no longer in existence.
Thanks in advance for your time..

Bro--
How in the world could you lose masters tickets?
-
I work in the sports broadcasting industry and can tell you first that that every tournament is different.
Most tournaments do not let patrons to bring cameras, cell phones or pagers to the course for the 4 official rounds.
According to the PGA Media Guide, cameras must have at least a 300mm lens and no photo can be taken until the player has completed his stroke.
Again this is for "official media members covering a tournament.
As you know, the Masters is unlike any other tournament and they definatley have their own set of rules.
I suggest going to masters.org and check the back of your ticket for rules on allowing cameras during the practice round.
Hope this helps and best of luck..

Hello all--
I am looking for a backpack that can hold a canon 10D with battery
grip, a few lenses and a tri pod.
The tri pod can be strapped to the side or under the backpack.
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance..

Hello and thanks in advance for your time.
I own the Canon 10D and the canon 28-135 IS lens. I love shooting
nature scenes (sunsets etc) and am interested in what you think the
best lens is for this type of photography. Is a prime the way to go?
Thanks..

I have the Canon 300D with the kit lens (18-55mm f3.5-5.6) and love
shooting nature, sunsets, etc.
Everyone says the 17-40mm L f/4 is the best lens for wide angle usage
and I was wondering if i need it our could get away with just the kit
lens and use my money elsewhere?
Any and all suggestions are helpfull.
Thanks for your time.. Zach

I have finally saved enough money and am looking to purchase one of
the folowing lenses for my Canon 300D. Either the Canon 70-200 2.8L
IS or the 100-400 4.5-5.6L IS.
I will mostly use the lens for outdoor/nature (sunsets), family
photo's and sporting events.
thanks in advance for your time and assistance..

Interesting points..
So from what i've gathered... many think a new 5DII is better then a used, excellent condition 1Ds Mark II?
