Carmen, la foto estᠤesenfocada, o debo ir al oculista?

Excelente Guillermo, y un procesado estupendo.

I took this picture while waiting for my daughter to finish her
piano class. We tend to take the sea for granted here, and I had
never thought of it as a subject for my photography -I think I might
change my mind...

Ian, on the island we have some huge lizards, but this little fellow is tiny, only about 15 cm long -including his tail.

We have plenty of these in our garden, but I had not realized
exactly how beautiful they actually were until I took some macro
shots.

Shot at night time in a lit swimming pool. My friend David posed
right under the water's surface. Shot on "black and white" camera
mode. No PS.

There was a rather nice blue cross-like reflection of the vase at
the top of its own shadow that has largely disappeared as I adjusted
brightness and contrast to create an all white background. Is there
any way I could keep both the white background and a more visible
blue reflection shining off the vase? -Please excuse my digital
ignorance.

There is an engaging melancholy timelessness to this picture that makes it difficult to take your eyes off it. The less obvious the beauty of a photograph is, the more long lasting its appeal, and in this case your picture's beauty is as evasive as it is certain. Congratulations, I think this is a classic.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the eye. The bird's expression is ambiguous enough to give the photograph lasting interest past the initial delight its composition and colours afford. Speaking generally now, I think most of your photographs share the same rigourous intent and careful consideration that you display in your commentaries: in both cases the results are usually pleasing and enlightening.
I think this is an excellent photograph. Congratulations.

Took it in my garden. This is the third of three pictures taken of
three different insects on the same flower over the space of an hour
last Friday morning.

Beautiful. Where did we go wrong after the Renaissance?

Nice idea, but background and foreground merge uncomfortably, and the general effect is a bit messy.
