    I was tempted to title this "MamaGator" because it was in a pond with

    countless young hatchlings. Since I am not certain of the gender --

    and in an effort to be PC -- let's just say, "Parent Gator". This

    gator was at least 10 feet long and was resting in a pond 8-10 feet

    below grade level. I was impressed by the water-lettuce hat, among

    other things...
