I like it.  Maybe not technically perfect in portrait styles, but the image caught my eye and brought me in for a single view of the photo.

Clean, colorful, to the point. A little vignetting might help but I really like the image.

    Early Snow

First night spent in my newly acquired NC mountain home and I awoke

to this maple tree site in my front yard. Nov. 6 is very early for ANY

snow , in this area. Thanks for looking and opinions.

Gorgeous!   I also use the grad #2 ND , 17-40, and a 5D. Have a 5DMark2 coming  and only hope I can be presented with an opt like this one.  Great job!  I love the foreground and the light balance with sky and water.  Amazing light on the peak.

Thanks....I tried cropping out the sky but thought the picture lost the depth or space. The second I saw this old bridge I had the same thought, OLD and very historic looking. Maybe there's a troll under there somewhere?

This fellow was lying low in the weeds for hours, until a tourist got too

close and up came the moose....I had time to snap and I was hot

footing it back to the car...

  1. Yes, I agree that the sign needs a touch of light.....would look best with some reflection of the sunrise itself bounced on the sign, for a warm, dimly lit effect. Straight flash would "cheapen" the shot, I'm afraid.

    Nice shot!!
