Hi All.
I'm rying to figure this out.
On the 3 M7's I have owened and used.
When my 50 Summilux ( current version) is used.
The lens will focus close to about .6 meters but the rangefinder
stops sooner. It stops focusing at the f11mark on the lens but
the lens keeps turning till the f16 mark.
I have tested my 3 M6's & an M4 and they all focus fine to the
minimum distance.
Anyone else notice this?
Thanks all.

I also wound up paying for shipping both ways as well as the
$20 deduction.

Jerry and I agreed on little.
He claimed the camera was in excellent condition and had seen
very little use.
When I received it I opened the box on my workbench, looked at it
and saw it had excessive use, so much so that the pressure
plate was worn down, had multiple dings and marks and to top it
off the camera jammed after I fired it 3 times.I then put it right
back in the box and called Jerry. This was all on my bench. I
never loaded film nor took out any spool.
I think he got this camera in a lot a never looked at it closely.
I did question him before buying and do feel I was misled.
-
I purchased an M2 from Jerry and though he shipped and
packed it fine it was quite overated IMHO and I sent it back.
Proceed carefully.

Gerald
Uncalled for rudeness.
Meanwhile your "goodies" are not that good.

Actually I found the 1.4 lens to be much less sharp than the 1.8.
The old pre-AI nikkir 85 1.8 was one of the best lenses I have
ever owned, Nikon or Leica. Tack sharp wide open and all the
way down. I have always regretted trading it for the 1.4.
I have the current 85 1.8 AF lens and it is excellent.
-
Hey if you want a like new full Leica case I have a black one I'd
sell for less than Luigis.
The top DOES detatch.
