Marc:
THIS is a portrait, where you've not just taken a photo of the "likeness" of the subject, but have shared with the viewer her personality, inner & outer beauty, her love of the outdoors, & general healthy look and outlook.
I'm sure there will be critiques re: lighting, the horizon line being too close to center and cutting through her head, but it all "fits" for me emotionally. I connect with your subject. She's someone I'd love to meet, walk along the beach with & learn about her dreams.
Thanks for sharing,
Richard
P.S. I'd change the title to "Beach Beauty."

POWERFUL!
The convergence seems to add to the image, seeming to "point" to the plane.

This is not a critique, but a REQUEST for more images of this STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN! You have done what a portrait demands: capture the personality of the subject. Hers is simply glowing and intriguing. Marie looks like someone you just have to meet, if only for a moment!
Thanks for sharing,

EVERYTHING about this capture is simply stunning; all the way down to the white sock!
The leading line and columns of the walkway are compositionally accurate.
The enhanced coloring adds depth and dimension.
Thanks for sharing such a beautiful image!

I tried a quick "cloning" of the electrical box on the wall. I'd mentioned a few days ago that I thought the image would be improved by removing the gray box. Hope this helps.

Absolutely beautiful! The lighting & composition are incomparable!
I would clone-out the gray power box on the wall above the two sitting children. It just doesn't "fit" the style/period of the shot.

My suggested title: "Serve & Protect."

I would have named this shot: "Double Negatives" - "Filmstrips" or "35mm."
Just a thought.

Static, but strong! "Square" adds to its impact.

Your work is stunning and so are you! You have a look and presence that is natural on the other end of the lens. Are these self-portraits? Or does the lucky image-maker see what I have the pleasure of seeing:-)
I'd love to see more images of the "and" in who you are.
Thanks for sharing,

Creative execution!
I think your images would be more effective, not to mention more in focus, if they were taken by another photographer who shared your "vision"; thereby releasing you to be whatever you wanted in that moment.

An outstanding full action capture!
How did the "attack" end?

While the split-lighting is probably better suited for men, there's something very mysterious about this particular subject. I think the glowing softness added to her skin in post production (?) is the "eye-catching" feature.
I would only change the title. Some thoughts: "Mirror of the Soul," "Look Inside," "More Than Meets the Eye," "Eye See You." (That last suggestion is a bit of a stretch, even for me:-)

Lovely and compelling.
I'd like to suggest cropping from the top to place the eyes in the top third, instead of dead center. Doing so would add impact imho.
Thanks for sharing,
Richard
P.S. I tried to include a copy of how I see this image, but it wouldn't go through. Since I've never tried editing & sending of another's image, I probably just screwed it up. Sorry.

Not really sure why I like this image, but I do; a lot.
What I don't like is the rather bright headlight, train light, or street light cutting into her veil. Since your eye always goes to the lightest part of the image, that is where mine went. If it were toned down (Photoshop), I guess it could stay, but when you have a subject this beautiful NOTHING should be in the frame to compete with her (even an out of focus light:-)!

Love it!
Would love it even more if you could open her right eye to the brightness level of her left and open the blackness on her right side, which seems a bit stark.

Interesting juxtaposition. Perhaps a little more color saturation and vignetting would add ominence to the image. Still, it's a shot that screams, "Applause!"
Thanks for sharing,
Richard
P.S. My suggestions for titles: "The Stare-down," "Blink & You Lose," "Are You Going to Eat That?" & "Bird Food?".
