  1. I'm thinking about submitting this in a print exchange, am not sure

about this image. I was hoping to get some feedback from others

    regarding it.

This was taken on Father's Day at the Getty Museum in L.A.

I saw this while walking through Puerto Vallarta last week. I thought

it was interesting so stopped and took a quick shot of it.

Here I've cropped it a little and boosted the saturation and made a

    tonal adjustment.

Let me know what you think.

I wasn't really sure about which category to assign this picture to,

    but here it is.

I got this while walking the back streets of Puerto Vallarta last

week. It printed up really well and I've taken a liking to it. I'd

love to hear other people's opinions.

I was going for a dark effect here, but the picture was taken outside

in bright light. I tried darkening the picture and then dodging over

leaves I wanted to bring them up. It took a fair amount of time, I was

wondering if anyone had any pointers on how to do this type of thing

    quickly.

Oh so you know that picking the flowers at the rose garden is a no-no! Well since she will likely grow up to be rather beautiful I thought I could hold it over her later in life :-)

I've burned the unshaded grass on the top and left as much as possible. I'm not sure of any other technique to darken those sections without looking weird.

    Suggestions?

I caught this in the rose garden at the L.A. Natural History Museum in

Exposition park. There were many wedding parties being photographed

there, while I just happened to be walking around and caught this one.

    Any thoughts?

  2. These are my first architecture shots, and my first requests for the

    opinions of others.

This image was taken in the evening, probably just as I was leaving

the Disney Concert Hall in downtown L.A. I think I underexposed it a

bit, because its darker than I remember, but it looks really good to

me. The print is even better than the web picture. I think that there

is something I'm missing when converting this over for web display.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Derek
