I have used the Canon Sure Shot A1 for several years on many fishing trips. It takes suprisingly good photos and has been impervious to water, dirt, bangs, etc Regards...Val

Sandy...There will be fabulous photo opportunities! Wildlife closeups without long lenses! Birds, turtles, sea lions, penguins, iquanas., etc. Also, if you snorkel or dive, underwater photography at its best.
Also gorgeous land/seascapes! Search for Galapagos photos on the web to see what a wonderful place it is for photography.
