I appreciate you're critique of this photo. Does it look out of

focus? I'm also concerned about haze on top. Any suggestions how to

avoid or correct the haze. This was shot with a slide film, but

suggestions for digital is welcome. Thanks!

  1. Thanks Jan. Yes, close to my office, I actually scouted this spot from my 6th floor window. This photo was taken around 2002, don't remember exactly. My office building is arranged in a campus setting with about 11 buildings & parking decks. The clearing was done in better times when the company was expanding, still on a high after the largest ever aquisition of a publicly traded company. Now the only thing left is grass, there are no blooms in spring, and the tractor has been removed.
  2. I changed the image!! Thanks for the comment Jan. The original posted image had brigtness +19% this one now has brightness set to original and contrast +10%. The flat light distracted me too, it looked hazzy. This frame was shot at dusk and I thought it would be better to increase brightness but I may have overdone it. What about this photo. It is darker but it is not so flat. It is actually more true to the moment. See the attached image for the original post.

This is a tractor's part. Have I zoomed in too much? I've been told

the negative space on the first quadrant is disturbing. Tell me what

you think of this photo. Fred

Good photo. Often photographers try so much to document what's happening to the bride and groom that they forget to photograph from their mutual perspective, to capture a moment they both share apart from everone else in the crowd is a good memory to capture.

Nice colors. I love blues and brown together. This would have been perfect if the buds and the all the flower were in focus. It may have been technically difficult though especially since I don't know what lense you used.
