Take a power cord, something like your table lamp's cord, wrap the wider/flatter part around the filter, meet the two ends of the cable and put a slight twist to lock both ends, turn the wire now mated to the stuck filter and use it as filter wrench.

Does anyone know what Brand/Model the character Peter Parker uses in the latest
Spiderman movies? I tried looking it up on Google but there are no definite
answers, the majority seems to suggest it's a Nikon F1 what do you folks think?

Ok, I think I get it. So the DX lens angle of view are measured the same as lenses made for 35mm film.

Thanks for the links folks

I'm confused. How come in Tom Hogan's site, he mentions the 1.5 multiplier and it's exactly opposite to what I'm hearing here.
http://www.bythom.com/1755lens.htm
*People keep giving me grief about this, saying that 1.5 x 17 = 25.5. Okay, but in reality it's something more like 1.54 x 17.6 (=27). Markings have long been rounded on products. My statement here is effectively correct, if not 100% mathematically accurate. Elsewhere in the article, I'll use 1.54 x 17 just to keep you nitpickers happy.

I feel like I made a big mistake by buying the 18-200, It's a wonderfull lens, sharp & saturated/contrasty but I also have a 70-200 and overlap focal range. I feel like I should have just gotten the 17-55.
Several of my lenses were stolen and this is what I have left.
13-35
18-200
70-200
Or maybe I can just sell the 18-35 and get a used 35-70 2.8. I loved that lens before it was stolen from me. In this case I can keep the 18-200 for carrying around.

I use a Nikon D200 and have tried to compare the quality of 2 lenses 70-200 &
18-200. I realize that the 1.5 multiplier of the smaller sensor size affects
the 70-200 making the 200 a 300 but when I try to compare the 2 lenses at
the "same" focal length they are not alike and that actually the 18-200's 200mm
is the same as the 70-200's 200mm? Does that make sense?

Hi, Does anyone know if there is a table out there on the web that rates a lens
sharpness by focal length and aperture? Even better if it had color/saturation
and other stats as well. It would be great to carry something like this when
shooting.

What is this Camera (Spiderman's Brand of Choice)
in Classic Manual Film Cameras

I found a better picture of it, it is a Canon F1. Its outline, shape and size are similar to Spidy's unbranded SLR. This is a nice looking body. I actually like the older designs like this Canon and older model Nikon F-F2, particulary if attached to a gleaming hard leather case.
And why is it that Nikons's leather cases are all soft, I don't like its look at all. I can't find a hard leather case for my D200 and F100 anywhere.
