I just love your depth of field, and of course everything else about this photo -- compostion, content, and technical quality are superb... You have a lot of talent and it really shows in your work!!!
-
I just love looking at your work for some reason... You are so creative in your approach!
-
I just love your work Rita!

Thank you for your comment Rita... I purposely did not show his face for the very reason you noted... He is a symbol of all the homeless, plus in a way a symbol of us all -- going through life with all our baggage holding us back and slowing us down, and all the stuff we accumulate that we can't take with us -- no matter how rich we are!

A homeless man traveling through life with all his baggage --
everything he owns is on this bike...

I like this style very much... How did you accomplish this? It's like an old painting that is pealing off a wall... Maybe you're an old soul trying to be seen? Anyway, great image! And thank you for the kind words on mine...

I was very aware of my slective focus on the woman with her face on the other's breast because she was very much getting into the moment...
-
Great shot -- you captured her essence... And to repeat every one else, such beautiful eyes... This child should be a model...
-
Alberto, you have such a great eye! Your composition, content, and technical quality are always impecable... You really are a very good artist!

I of course love shots like this! The dark... the light... How wonderful... Great composition as well...

I have a good friend who lives next door to the Chelsea Hotel... She is a photographer also... I love your nudes... They have such a great feel... This one has a feeling of being shot in another country somehow... Not sure why... It is like she is in France looking out of a hotel window onto the stree below...

Do you ride? Is this your bike? Great shot, and really depicts the feeling if what it's like to really see stars -- a Harley!

Doesn't it just add to her lonliness leaving all that space? Plus it seems to show the road that was traveled in a way. The original slide is not so black... You can make out some details in the shadows...

For me the UV filter really is there to protect my lens... In this case, since the environment is so controlled, and there really is no glare, the filter really is there to protect the lens... I was not using direct light. It was bounced in off of a Lite Disc...

You have a wonderful eye... You see things very differently like notre dame... I really like this image, and I have been there but never saw it like this... ...very very nice! Keep it up... Do you bracket when shooting shots like this? That may be a silly questions. A suggestion is to try some shots where you cover the lighted area for a little longer than the non-lighted area. Do you know what I mean? You could even use your hand. But I guess you could always do it when printing... But you need a little more light on top of this image. The rest is perfect!

I am so infatuated with this style of shooting -- keeping the blacks
very rich... I feel it creates a mystery without cheapening or
objectifying a woman... I don't want to give too much away... I
would like comments especially about how to perfect this style...
What suggestions would you make keeping with this style?

I just love it -- composition, content, and technical quality... Just a beautiful shot and use of light and black...

First of all thank you for your comment on my "Night Swimmer" I really appreciate it. However, I still think the black thing in the bottom of the left hand corner of your beatiful image looks like a hairy muppet stuck his hand in the image when taking the photo... It just is disturbing to me and actually seems as if it will grow on the screen and over take your water lily... The reason I am commenting is because I love the image so much... ...sans the hairy muppet hand...
-
Very nice shot... I love the use of black to focus on your dancer... The light is perfect...
-
Your work is so dreamlike... I just love all the textures you have been able to incorporate into your images... Just beautiful...

I do like this image; however, I would love to have seen her bottom because it would have been a nice compliment to her back... It would have rounded off the image...
