Nice composition and crop. Colors and detail are great.

Nice combination of subject matter and technique. Did you use a PS filter?
Very original.

Juicy juxtaposition and delectable derriere- wondering if it's real or cut and paste (just as clever either way).
Thanks for the laugh.

Nice balance (no pun intended) between positive and negative.

I think the expressions, framing, and tone are all great. I would agree Reina about the background- this one is good enough to be worth spending some PS time to de-emphasize the hard angular lines.
Love your portraits.

I agree with previous comments about framing and DOF- very nice. It's too bad that her eyes are underexposed- if the color of her irises and some detail in the eyes was present it would be great- maybe a little dodging in ps would work.

Wonderful lighting and warmth. I'd like to see it with a little of the top cropped off- at least at these small sizes the strong pattern of the stone there draws my eye away from the door.
Very well presented as always.

To me this picture says volumes about culture and values. In America the bike would have been relegated to the junk yard years ago, the shutters would have been replaced (with something plastic no doubt), and the wall would have been patched and painted (most certainly in an unamaginative color).
I think to critique the technical merits of this shot is to miss the point- the impact is there, and it's plenty beautiful.
Thanks for the image.
ps- your pictures (and many of the others on this site) are so nicely framed...what software do you use for this?

I feel like there's alot going on in this picture, but I'm wondering
if it comes through.

Yes it's too bad that the dock is so strong and busy of a presense- I didn't have much choice in the framing as I was in my kayak drifting with the tide when shooting. On a large print, however, the kids stand out pretty well.
