I love this picture. I'm a huge fan of grainy images anyway, but this is really satisfying. Great job!

OK - thanks Paul.

I'm still trying to improve my photography, so any honest criticism
welcomed.

I think it's an excellent shot - and I quite like having that much sky in the shot - it gives it balance and puts the tree 1/3 of the way into the shot.

A fill in flash might have helped illuminate the butterfly, if you could do it without scaring him off that is!
-
Nice angle.

I think Simone is right, you could maybe crop a little off the bottom - but then I'm a sucker for symmetry, so feel free to ignore me! I might actually have been tempted to pull out the weeds - I find the green a little distracting, it disturbs the purity of the shot a little.
That said, I love the colours in this, very simple and very vivid. Great picture!

This is a great picture. I think most people would have been photographing the sky! Well done for spotting this.

I feel quite humbled by your work, you have an amazing talent. By the way - I'm only commenting so I can give you a 7!

Another wonderful picture from an inspiring portfolio!

Wonderful - like an oil painting.
-
Fantastic, could give you vertigo just looking at it!
-
Wonderfully atmospheric. You've really made the best of the highlights and shadows in this shot.

I like the horizontal stripes of colour in this one Peter.

Taken on holiday in the US, this was one of the better shots I came
home with!

I really like this shot, Jan, the contrast is perfect. Lovely.
-
I love it - you break the "rules" so well.
-
It would have been great to see this in colour.

I've tried to capture the mood of this Michael Drayton poem with
this shot. (Incidentally the last verse is intentionally missing).
Any comments on composition etc gratefully received.

It's great, I love the humour of the shot.

I've had some varying ratings on this one and wondered - if you
think this is a good photo, why? What makes it work. Alternatively
if you don't like it, then why not? What could I do to improve?
