1. Buenas Marina,

I'm sorry for the English readers, but I think my skills in this language avoid me to express the same ideas than

in Spanish. I need to apologize myself for it.

  2. Josh, I think you must seriously consider some of the signals you are viewing here, as the decrease of rating amounts, as the decrease on the number of visits you can find today on any of the trp, but more important because today, a lot of great photographers (other time very actives) don't contribute in this website or their photos don't obtain the deserved visibility. I think, that pn should have the best photos and the best photographers on the most visible places of you website (I think it is very interesting for the website and also for us as users).

If you translate the responsibility to the users, I think you are also part of the problem and not part of the solution (I'm sorry Bob for using your sentence).

Of course, it is true that it is not a easy issue, and the discussion about the rating system is a recurrent issue last years, but I think today we are more far of the solution than one year ago.

I wish that you consider this comment as a constructive critique: I think that PN was in the past one of the best photo websites and we must have the goal or retrieve it.

    Sincerely yours.

  3. I'm sorry, I know that my english is not very good, but i try to explain other proposal of solution. I think that the issue with the rating system is currently the quality and/or criteria of the raters.

Probably Dan, in his proposal want to know the quality of the ratings, because with this information, he can obtain a best indicator and feedback about his work.

Well, what do you thing about that anybody has a rater quality indicator? This indicator should be computed using a diference of his ratings in reference to the average of each rated photo.

In some time this indicator can be used to rate the raters and it's possible to attenuate the effect of bad ones and to give more weight to the others.

What do you think about it?
