Thanks for looking. Any thoughts on improving the lighting?

Reminds me of a great shot I saw several years ago: Here it is. Fantastic work, Michael; this is an incredible shot.

Comments and critiques welcomed and appreciated. Thank you.

Great exposure and composition, Charles. These shots looking into the light always are difficult. I like this.

Brian Gochenour cleans inside Little Cheerful at 2 a.m. He should have
done the cleaning earlier, he says, but he was out late. Now, he must
get the restauraunt sparkling before it opens early Saturday morning.

I agree. Fine capture, Milan.

I was trying for an 'as it happens' sort of look here. Does it work?
What's wrong with it? Too blurry? Dark? Thanks.

Kenny, I love your shots. One suggestion, though: I think too many of them are taken from standing height. Try to vary your position more -- get on the ground, stand on a chair, etc. I think it'd make your great shots even better.

No, 3200.

I absolutely love the lighting. You might try a crop that comes in from the right and elides the door. Great use of empty space.

...coming out of a dance club after a night of drinking and dancing. Thanks for looking,
and please suggest any improvements that can be made, or ways that I can improve on the
next shot.
Thanks again.

Hugh, your photos are amazing. You shoot what you see, and you see things in a way I cannot. You're quite talented, man, and I appreciate being able to look at your photos. I'll be back.

What do you think? Thanks.

I do like it, and was surprised to see that you hadn't altered it. This is an original and intriguing capture.

Otherworldly. Very cool.

I don't believe I've ever seen a fly with that big of a shadow. Great, detailed capture Pietro.

I rarely like to argue with a photographer, Roland, but in my view this would work better as a vertical. It's worth a shot, anyhow. Other than that, it's a nice image, though the photo seems to lack a tiny bit of definition. Still, good work.

should be rated a little higher, I think. candid photography such as this is much more difficult than many will admit. some of the tones here seem a bit flat, but I attribute that to it being overcast. such is my assumption, anyway. good moment, good composition.

There is much more to the photo, but I like the extreme crop. Does it
work? Thanks.

Aha. First impressions usually are closest to the truth, eh? I played around a bit with cropping this image; I wish I could upload it. I think the image might work better vertically; maybe crop it all the way in just to the left of the sign, thereby eliding the dark building on the left. Also up a bit to near the bottom of the sign to get rid of the darker foreground, and in from the right to get rid of the front side of the righthand building. Makes it look more like a corridor. Anyway, it's just a thought; I'm not certain actually that it does work better. I like it though. Good work.

interesting, but I think you may be saying something here that I'm just not getting. My first thought was that it was a political statement. Is that close? If so, I think it's clever in that regard.
