Dionys,
This is an excellent image. It seems that there are some people here who think this is a composite image. The Namib desert has dunes that reach to the sky. For some other surreal images, which include shots in Namibia like this, check out Art Wolfe's book "Edge of the Earth, Corner of the Sky." Dionys, like Art Wolfe, seems to have an eye for the surreal landscape. Great work!

I really like the container at the bottom of the image. This adds an aspect of originality that is so often missing in photos of flowers. The dramatic lighting is what makes this photo really stand above the rest, though. Good work.

I think that the horizontal line that dominates the center of this image is overly distracting. The open areas of sky leave a lot of the image with no points of interest.

I like the framing that you have in the image. It adds tension to the image. I think that the image would have more impact if the birds were in a more natural environment, but we can only capture what we see, huh?

Backyard pest, or cooperative model? You decide. Comments welcome.

What do you think of the eeriness of this composition? I was drinking
red wine while scanning 4x5 transparencies and came up with this
composition. The image is unmanipulated, only cropping and resizing
for the web. Comments appreciated.

Just before sunset, these clouds moved in and made a dramatic sky
overhead. What do you think of the composition and the use of the
square format?
