Canon 28-135mm IS vs. Sigma 24-135 2.8 in Mirrorless Digital Cameras Posted October 27, 2003 All: I recently learned that Sigma released a very fast workhorse lens: the 24-135 2.8 max aperture. Prior to learning that, I had been researching about the Canon 28-135mm which has the Image Stabilizer mechanism that allows for very low light exposure with decreased shake bluriness. I wanted to know if the maximum aperture that the Sigma lens sports will compensate for the lack of IS mechanism. Please bear in mind that the Canon lens max aperture is 3.5. Thanks. FA

I recently learned that Sigma released a very fast workhorse lens:
the 24-135 2.8 max aperture. Prior to learning that, I had been
researching about the Canon 28-135mm which has the Image Stabilizer
mechanism that allows for very low light exposure with decreased
shake bluriness.
I wanted to know if the maximum aperture that the Sigma lens sports
will compensate for the lack of IS mechanism. Please bear in mind
that the Canon lens max aperture is 3.5.
Thanks.
