It was sunset of our last night in Siam Rep, and I managed to get
this photo of a young monk who tends to engage the tourists visitting
Angkor Wat. I think that I finally got the colors on the scan to
approximate what is on the slide - sadly, I left a particle of dust on
the scan! DOH!

You had posted a link to this on the cvug group as well. I think that the sharpness and narrow DOF works fairly well, the only part of the background that I think intrudes is to the left of the blossoms. Maybe angling over to the right would have put them behind the main subject. -
These are some folks I photographed at a conference held at a
hilltop monastery in San Jose.
