For some reason you can't open the file directly here in photo.net - instead save it to a temporary folder with a filename like "myicon.ico" - the .ico is important. Now you will see it if you display the temporary folder using the "icons" view.

 

To be recognised in the "add to favourites" list, the file must be saved as favicon.ico in the root folder of the website.

I like the camera - only problem is the explorer favourites must be a 16x16 pixel icon.... Yes - it appears the attached file needs to be renamed when you download it. To clarify, this is the icon you see in Internet Explorer favourites drop down list.

It would be classy to have a photo.net icon attached when the site

is added to someone's list of favourites (like google and yahoo).

 

This is achieved by placing an icon file named favicon.ico in the

site's root folder on the web server. I have made an icon for

photo.net based on the focus rings which I have attached.
