1.
I picked up a Minolta SRT-101 camera kit in the late sixties. The kit included the 35, 58 and 135mm lenses. I shot hundreds of rolls of film with that camera over the next 20 years and always enjoyed using it.
It's been sitting in a box for years while I used newer and more advanced cameras and lenses. I recently started using the lenses with my Sony A7. I was really impressed with the sharpness of the pictures I got with them. Seeing the review of the SRT-101 and the Minolta lenses confirmed my opinion of the equipment.
Thanks for posting the article.

00eFer-566622184.thumb.JPG.21ec66b314c0a6db07eedf650587f037.JPG

 2.
For the past several weeks, photo.net has been loading really slow. It sometimes takes over a minute for a page to load. I don't have this problem on any other sites. I run on Windows XP and use Firefox for my browser.

Anyone else having a problem?

 3.
Jerry: I have been using a 680B for several years. It does a good job and can double as a walking stick. Like Phil, I use an Acratech ball head on mine. I tried using it without a head, but didn't like it as much. The ball head gives me more control when I want to "level" a shot and I feel that it makes it easier to brace the camera against myself. My biggest lens is a Sigma 80 - 400 mm and the 680B works well with it even when it's fully extended. It is long enough to have your camera at eye level, also.
