As these 4 features are important for you to have in one camera, sadly manufacturers arent into custom making cameras to spec. I'm sure market research, patent laws and cost prohibit your dream camera from surfacing.

Michael, Impressive website. Not only are the pictures very well done but the layout is very easy to navigate.

If you are indeed the "only" photographer at this wedding, you have a lot of time to learn. Dedicate a couple of saturdays to a local introduction to photography class for your friends benefit. If not, stick a photography book under your pillow and wake up ready to shoot.

Why such a comparaison between Maxxum 5D and Canon 10D?
I'm certain we
would be seeing the same comparison no matter what the poster purchased subsequent to
the 10D.
-
From what I've heard, the descriptions are relatively conservative. Everyone that I've heard that has purchased used products has been pleasantly surprised.
-
-
I'll take the fourth. Doesn't look like the saturation is pumped up to +50.
-
As Sheldon says, that comment is silly.
I think a full frame sensor is quite a good reason to upgrade. I own the 10D and wont be upgrading anytime soon (unless a full frame comes out for less $$). I like everything the 5 has to offer, just too cheap to make the move to something that expensive.

It doesnt take a genius to figure this one out.

i have found a canon 20d on internet for 800.00 which is a gray market camera it comes with all acc. that usa camera have.
Who's selling it? Are you sure it comes with everything a normally packaged 20D will come with?

As many will say, and more importantly, as countless threads will say...you will be buying into
a system. Consider long term growth with this system. Consider comfort of handling.
Consider accessory availability. Consider the camera's big brothers because you will, if you
progress, want a bigger, better model that will grow with your skill level. I wouldn't put so
much stock into dollars and cents with this decision.
When I was faced with this decision
years ago, I was lucky I was given the same advice. That original camera is a memory but the
foundation is not.

The only problem I've had with my existing camera is that images are sometimes
blurred
I don't want to spend a lot of money to find I may still experience the
same problems.
...(Dynax D5) has anti-shake technology (which I'm hoping
would fix my fuji camera problems).
Clearly the camera is not to blame. Operator
error is likely the culprit and no amount of image stabilization technology will improve a lack
of understanding.

My process using PS CS, Canon 10D and CF card reader:

Download image from CF to image file labeled burn and delete file

Name, and add descriptions to all images using batch rename

Burn 2 CD's

Decide what images are worth editing

Open image

Crop (I use a standard format size and dpi)

Color adjust

Amount of adjustment and post processing is entirely up to you and is a different thread
all together
Sharpen as needed using unsharp mask

Save file in general picture file folder

From here, If I need to find an image based on file name or description, I use Photoshop
CS browser functions or very recently I have been using the spotlight feature in Tiger OS
for Mac.

I catalog all my images by contact sheet and numbered cd(s).

All files I consider "good" are edited and saved on my hard drive and with my back-up
un-edited files being on CD's (2).

This has to go down as one of the most frequently asked questions on this site.

This is paraphrased from The Photoshop CS Book for digital Photographers by Scott
Kelby

Open the photo that contains an element that needs to be a different color. Select the area
that you want recolor using any selection tool youd like (lasso tool, pen tool, extract-it
doesnt matter which you use, but you have to have a pretty accurate selection).

Choose Hue/Saturation from the adjustment Layer pop-up menu at the bottom of the
layers palette.

When the dialog appears, click on the colorize check box at the bottom right of the dialog
and then start dragging the hue slider. As you drag, the color of the selected area
changes.

If the color appears too intense after dragging the hue slider, just drag the saturation
slider to the left to decrease the saturation of the color. If you dont like the color at all ,
no sweat-just drag the hue slider to a different shade.

Click OK in the hue/saturation dialog to complete the color change.

Photoshop has a "save for web" feature which will dramatically reduce the size of your file
without sacrificing actual height and width.
-
The easiest way to find your photo is to simply go to your home page and access your portfolio. A lot easier than searching through hundreds of photos.
-
Polarizing filter. Photoshop filter. That's it.
-
Searching this subject in different variations of words will yield hours and hours of reading.

I originally got the impression you were looking for something to cover your camera while using. Don't bother. The camera is going to get beat up. The more you use it, the more beat up it gets. They are designed to take some abuse.
Also, most of the cameras controls are located throughout the body. Why would you want to limit your access to those controls?
-
A good tripod will last you a lifetime. Consider construction, durability, and versitility when purchasing. Take a look at Bogen / Manfrotto products. Choose a head that will accomodate the type of photography you will be focusing on.

I recommend the Manfrotto 3011N.

Try not to skimp on a very important purchase if you plan on getting into photography seriously.

Bots have struck! There's been problems of images receiving automated scores and the system removes them.
-
It seems really unfair that the 3/3 rating are not dropped but the 7/7 ratings are dropped consistently
I think that statement sums it up right there.
You would not be complaining if the 3's were removed.
-
would it be strange if a picture of your water bill received (7) 7/7's?
