Does anyone out there know how to tell if a Nikon D1x has had the

buffer upgrade or not by simply looking at?

I've taken everyones advice but to no avail. In fact tonight the meter stopped working even without the MD-12 attached. I think my next move is to the repair shop. While it may be cheaper to find another one used, I've had this one since it was new and am probably more attached to it than I should.

If anybody knows a cheap meter fix, I'm all ears.

I recently pulled my old FM2 with a MD12 drive out of retirement.

What a great camera. Unfortunately when I attach the drive, the

internal meter shuts off. Without the drive on the meter works fine.

Last time I used the rig, several years ago, the meter worked fine

with the drive. Any suggestions? Thanks
