I have the old one (bought for a few tens of dollars) and also wear glasses. Without modification, it is diffcult to use at the 90mm setting. I have machined a larger hole in the aluminum eye piece and also reduced the depth of the eyepiece. I have also put plastic tape over the surface of the eyepiece so that it does not scratch my glasses when I press up against it. With these modifications, it now works well down to 90mm.

How about using a Zerostat gun designed for reducing the static charge (and hence the dust) on vinyl records? Can be obtained from good hi-fi stores.

My usual supplier is out of Quickload and can't get a delivery date

from Fuji (they seem to be having some distribution problems in the

UK at the moment). I am trying to get hold of some for a forthcoming

trip. Can anyone recommend stockists in the UK I can call?

As something of a LF novice, can someone tell me why some Linhof-type

lensboards have a centered mounting hole and others (e.g. Nikon

lensboards)have it off-set towards the bottom? I guess it makes

little difference with front rise and fall. The off-set type seems

to centre the lens more closely with respect to the back plate at the

marked 'center' front standard position on my Ebony.

I will be in Tokyo for a week in December. Does anyone know what

prices are like for Nikon and Fujinon LF lenses compared to US /

Europe? Any recommended stockists?
