Hello there....
I'm new to the world of Polaroid and I have a very specific question.
I just purchased a pack of 690 film and it does not seem to fit in the
camera via any intructions I have read so far. Do I have the wrong
size?? What am I doing wrong? DO I remove the metal piece off the
opened pack of film?
Sorry for all the questions..Just getting frusterated over here.
Thanks for your help in advance!!

Hi...
I just picked up the 'said' camera at a second hand store for $3 bux
and was wondering if someone had already posted a link on How To Use
this particular model camera, and which exact type polaroid film to
buy. If any one has any info or links to offer I would greatly
appreciate it. The camera seems to function ok, but I definatly need
some sort of instruction to be sure of that.
Thanks!

Thanks for all your responses! The camera was indeed set on the "X" and I do recall trying out the timer. Now having moved the lever to "M" and trying the shutter while nudging the timer- The shutter is still not responding. I will continue to try various combinations, though.. I'm not ready to give up. If what I try does not one day get this thing running- I will indeed have it looked at.
Thanks guys for all your help. I'll be back round to re-read the notes and check the links :)

Hi..
My father gave me his Yashica-12 which he bought in '68 while he was
in Vietnam. It looks to be in pretty good shape, but then again I am
completely new to using TLR cameras. Major issue now: The shutter
won't open anymore (It worked a good few times then after I changed
some settings it stopped). I realize this camera isn't worth alot, but
now that I have held it in my hands and looked through the view
finder- I am dying to use it. Bottom Line: Is it worth paying to have
it repaired? Does it even *need* repairing- or is it possible one of
my settings is causing the shutter to be stubborn?
Thanks for your help (and sorry for the long post)..

I managed to load 220 film into my brownie camara with a little bit
of strain and a pair of scissors to thin out the plastic spool. But
my question to you is- Since there are no numbers on the film (being
that i learned the hard way that 220 film has no "back" or paper)
How do I know how many turns it takes to advance to the next
picture???
I guess it's a bit daft, but I'm just a lil new to using my
Brownie :)
Thanks in advance for your help...
