I was bored one day while stuck at home. This is what happened when boredom got the best of me.

I like the texture and the bottom portion of the feather looks great, in focus and sharp. For some reason the upper portion, that is out of focus, bothers my eyes, literally. Maybe a larger depth of field might avoid that. Could just be my eyes, though.

Otherworldly

I can understand why you love this place so much.

I was walking along the riverfront one night and noticed how the multiple light sources created several shadings of shadow. I thought that it would make a nice semi-abstract shot. Any thoughts or comments are welcomed and appreciated.

Part of an exhibit of carousel horses. Painted by local artists and put on display on Main Street for a set period of time. They were then auctioned off for charity.

I did not have a flash at the time, which would have been useful to bring out the details on the face of the horse.

This was taken before September 11th. at a kite days festival. Had nothing to do with September 11.

J. Landman, in answer to your questions. This is our new riverfront in downtown Evansville, IN. There is a winding road and a walking path that follow the river for several blocks. There is a boat launch also. The steps shown are grandstand seats whenever there is an event going on. Those are solid granite balls bolted to the concrete, approximately 2 feet in diamater each.

This is my first attempt at photographing a waterfall to get that

silky effect. Trying to learn as I go and need feedback from others.
