Hi friends,

My plan to buy a 0.72x for this christmas has to be changed

because they have been discontinued.

Anyway, I still love to shoot with wide-angle lenses :(

especially lower than 28 mm while 0.85x provides the correct

lineframes from 35mm ...

My questions are

(1) When I use 28mm lens, what will happen if I use the

edges of the normal viewfinder to guess the frame ?

(2) If it is not possible (or not quite good), focussing

and framming with the normal viewfinder and an external

viewfinder still work ??

(3) If I have to use both co-viewfinder, which one should I

buy, the "21-24-28" viewfinder or a separated one (the square

one) ???

I am a leica fan especially in M system.

Among the digital photography that seems to be swallowing the

classical photography, I'm happy with my old stuff.

Well, back to the question, Why Leica ??

Many photographers, specifically who spend most of their lives

in front of the computer, talking about the CCD, scanning ...etc.

I have been asked many times "Why Leica ?", "Can you tell me

the differences between two images taken by Leitz lens and

XXXX lens ?", "What the price !!"

I think that you, friends, have ever been asked before ....

Could you share some opinion ?

Hi friends,

I'm going to buy a leica M6 ttl with 0.72x version. I plan to use the

1.25x viewfinder magnifier with it as well.

I have a question that, when I attached the magnifier, leica says that

the lineframe of 28mm lens cannot be seen...

Has anyone tried to use the black edge of the viewfinder to guess for

frameline for 28mm lens after the lens has been attached ??

As have been doing much research about leica M6 which I plan to

buy. I found many pros and cons about it. Some led me glancing

back to R8 which I had considered previously.

Has anyone tried to compare M and R, I mean in the sense of

lens quality.

Do they have differences in the quality of the lens comparing

between M and R.

Hmmmmm ... so if I prefer to use the lens ranging from

28mm - 135mm, I can use 0.72x, right ...

Is it a problem to use 0.72x and wearing eyeglasses ?

I don't understand the matter that 0.58x is suitable for

people who wear glasses ...

For the external hot-shoe-mounted viewfinder for the lens

ranging below 28mm, does it provide line frames ???

I'm going to buy a leica M6 TTL in this christmas.

But I'm not sure about how to select a proper viewfinder

version ???

Could anyone suggest me about which viewfinder is suited

for what range of the lens? I know that there are three

versions, 0.58x 0.72x and 0.85x but not sure about the

range of the lens for them...
