I think she should have been looking up with her head back. What camera you use really doesn't matter, it's the execution that matters. Beyond that the "in your face" mood you wanted her to created was done well.

Wonderful eyes! You can tell this person laughs easily. I would have liked to see more DOF to capture the right eye but you certainly have centered the attention on the left eye well. It's tough working with window light and models. Apertures are usually quite large. Check out some of Farber's stuff. He uses very high speed film and achieves a very diffuse, warm, painterly effect.

As far as the photo is concerned I rather enjoy it. The lighting is soft and diffuse, the cropping just right and the hand placement is a good counterpoint to the line of the clothes and the waistlet (?).

Well the original artist did a great job. All you have done is copy it from what I can see. So you have done nothing more than acted as a photocopy machine. For that I guess you have done a good job, but what you have created is not fine art IMHO. There might also be some copyright issues as well.

the high value on her thigh seems to be a bit much IMHO. A bit more light on the right half would have helped too. Beyond that a lovely photo of a lovely gal.
