Excellent image! Fantastic play with DOF. Red flower in hair distracts from the overall image. The concept of somethings blooming is subtle but understood if one views the image in it's entirety. Congrats!

Your lighting scheme in this image is exceptional. Very representative of late evening when a 'lonely lady' may find time for 'herself' The composition is equally exceptional! The triangle of view brings us to the young lady's eyes every time. However, I'm not certain that I would have gone with the eyes open. With the models positioning of her hands, the 'story' is told and I lend to the thinking that her eyes would be closed, so to visiulize her fantasy, during her moment. B&W was the only way to go! Fantastic depth of field work and point of focus on the models face ... leaving the rest soft, dreamy and romantic (even in a moment of 'self') Congrats to both! Fine work! Best regards. rlc

Love the hair, the rings, the tat, the expression, etc. The lighting kind of falls off in the lower thirty percent (or so) of the image, which creates a different skin tone that is not as attractive. Watch out for cutting off of the fingers on the left hand!

I have to agree with Gerecht on the ‘conservative composition’ Not only is ‘her’ hand placement to contrived, so is ‘his’

Simply precious! B&W was a perfect choice. Well composed and perfect timing! The baby in her left arm ‘must be a sleeping’ This is an image that the two of you will cherish for the many wonderful years to come. That, within itself, make it successful!

Victoria; I have to side with you on this one. The composition, saturation, exposure, etc. are spot on! If it were my image, I would mount it with a mat, one to two shade darker than the girls shaws, and proudly display it on my wall! Simply beautiful simplicity! Thans for sharing!

Fantastic perspective. Wonderful lighting. Great play on DOF. Like the catch light in the eye and on the lip. Think it’s a tad too dark on the models left side of the face. The raised feet are so natural, that I almost feel like I am really laying there peering into her eyes. Great job! Thanks for sharing!

A tad too much red (magenta) going on. Look at the color of the eye ball. Love the image though! Great perspective and play on d.o.f. Lighting is good (color off a bit)

Originality? 500%! Congrats!

IMHO this image would be greatly improved with some back-lighting to help separate the subject from the background. You may get some that think the subject should have more eye contact with the camera, but I'm okay with it as is because she is "looking at the light", not the camera. Framing is way too crowded. (cutting off the hair and left arm ((though leaving a tad of the left arm in the image at the lover right)), no space to the subjects right, too little space above the head. The lighting on the left hip makes her look ...
