Hello-
i posted several days ago about compensation problems with
my Macro lens. thank you to everyone who emailed me!!
The problem is while im figuring out compensation, something
else is wrong- a roll of film from a Minolta had the same problem
and now today a roll from the Nikon came out with a thick (soft,
but pitch black dark) black line across all of my frames. Mostly it
is about 1/4 of the frame, but in a couple it obliterates the frame
covering it 3/4s. Does this have to do with the lens? It is not a
faulty piece of equipment as it happened ealier in the week with
a Minolta AF 28-85 lens. Am i on the wrong Fstop for my
magnification? or what? It cant be shutter as that would be a
vertical black line, not horizontal. I am using Speedo strobes as
well (for those who didnt read my previous post). And was
shooting around F22 @ 1/250, bracketing ranging from F32 and
F16.
Sorry to be flooding the board with my problems, but thank you
all for helping!!!!!!

I know this is a rather dumb question.... but if i am shooting with
a 105mm Nikon Macro lens, and shooting with Strobes, do i
need to compenste my meter reading to let in more light?
i wasnt sure if that was only on extension tubes or with Macro
lenses also.
Thanks!!!!

hello-
i am using a friend's Canon EOS Elan II E (35mm) camera and
can't get it to sync with strobes!
I got a little hot shoe with a sync, (the shoe works on other
35mm cameras), but i am guessing there is a setting on this
camera, that i am unaware of, that needs to be set for it to work?
Both of us are stumped. i can fire the camera, but the strobes
don't fire with it.
Help!!!!
Thank you - Nicole

Hello -
My Hasselbald 500C hasnt gotten a lot of use in the last year
(hopefully that is not the cause of this) and when i got it out to
use recently, it seems i can advance the film with the film back
on or off, but can only fire with the film back OFF. I can not figure
out why this is (and YES i took the dark slide out!!) If i can't fire
with a film back obviously i cant shoot any film....
i dont want to take it in for repair, as i fear it is just on a setting
that i am not aware of. has anyone experienced this before?
Please help!!!
Thank you.... nicole
Macro Conversion Chart
in Medium Format
Posted
Hello -
For the weekend i have a Hasselblad 503CW, A16 back, 120mm
lens and bellows - with the intention of shooting macro shots of
Pills. Some shots just 1-2 pills, other shots of up to 5-20pills.
2 questions:
1) I don't own the Ernst Wilde book that i know i should - and i
am wondering if anyone would be so kind to pass on a
conversion chart to me? I am shooting w/ Speedo strobes and a
hand-held meter and am BAD at math -- so i really need a chart
so i don't screw up my exposures. I do have a poloroid back, but
i also don't want to take 10 hit or miss poloroids, trying to get the
exposure in the ballpark. Tips - Charts - i would be VERY
thankful!!!
2) I do own a 55Ext tube. Is there any reason I should use the
Tube instead of the bellows or vice-versa?
Thank you so much. -Nicole
