    Joshua Trees

          5

I decided to take a drive a few day ago hoping to find something to

shoot with my toyo 4x5 camera and some b&W film. During the drive I

noticed a bunch of Joshua trees just off the road and decide to see if

I could get a pic, but after setting up, it turned out that I had to

wait for about an hour to get a shot seeing the sun disappeared behind

the clouds, so as I waited, I noticed that the cloud formation changed

a number of times, so when the sun finally appeared for just a few

min, this was the shot that I got, not the one I wanted, but the one I

    got. input would be good.

  1. I also am a fan of using wide angle to give a fine art look to architecture images. so i like this image, but maybe I would pull the left top corner of the building out just a little, for less distortion. Nice contrast!

  2. I've been working on this abstract digital image, for a class project and was

looking for some input from the creative community. Thanks for any insight,

even if the thought, it does not work.

    THE RISING

Obviously this is a great perspective, with strong leading lines, which you captured it perfectly. without looking, it feels like a digital shoot, which sometimes gives the feeling of a little over sharping look. sometimes I think its best to let an image like this, go just a little softer. Check out works of Ezra Stroller. Great composition!

  3. On a recent trip to San Francisco, I decided to put down my digital camera,

and shoot some black and white film This complex provided some

interesting angles to create some images. It was about 12noon, so decided

to create some contrast, using my 29red filter.

  4. Shot of los angeles skyline I loved this view and thought it would look good at night. I

shot this using black and white 100 speed film. I was also glad that it was an area that

not too many are around at this time of night. It also help that it was taken during the

seventh game on the Lakers playoff. LOL Thanks for viewing

  5. I think that this image shows why it's important to have a good eye for compostion, which does take a lot of hard work, unless we get lucky, which still takes time to compose and see it through the lens. But for me, it's clear that a lot of digital work was done, which for me make this image look like it's put together, more than one shot. So it looks more like a painting than a photo, which is fine as long as that's the look your going for. Art is art!

I know that everyone has a right to give there opinion on of an image on this website, and that should never change, but I feel that sometimes, when people give a low score on an image like this, it seems they should be required to give a critique, which may be helpful to understand how this image could be improved, because this image is flawless to me. But i could be wrong. Anyway, amazing job, lighting, composition, texture, are close to perfect. Thanks for showing
