Olá ils. Em primeiro lugar quero-te agradecer pelas palavras de incentivo. It means a lot to me :-)

Eu sou Portugues e estou a morar perto do Porto, no norte.

De momento já ´enho 25 anos e tenho-me dedicado bastante à ¦otografia numa tentativa de melhorar cada dia que passa.

Um abra篠e obrigado mais uma vez.

Fabulous :-) This is a great scene. I just think it would improve the image composition if you have framed just a little more of the sky.

    Congratulations fro the picture :-)

The inercia of the body against the movements of the face causes great contrast and impact.

The light is very good also.

But in my opinion, i just think you should have framed more of the left side too (but not by reducing the right side).

What is that? Eyes of wolfs shinning in the dark?

Well, if it is, that's a good idea, but the aesthetic of the photo isn't very good you know.

If you have the chance, try to shot it once again and explore the possibilities.

  1. Hi Paul. Is this a real goose (or duck)?

The light is a little bit funny. In the sky, it seems it's coming from right side and the right side of goose's head looks like it is in the shadow.

The sky near the goose it's a little over saturated too.

But above all this it's a great idea for a shot. I liked a lot.

    Cheers Paul.

  2. I love th contrast bettwen tle colourful sky and tree agains the shadows. Great composition. There is only one thing I dislike. The trees are out of focus. You shoud have used a smaller aperture.
  3. When I first saw this photo, I thought that the colours were manipulated because the trees are grey (because of the snow and the shadows), and the reflections of the lake are a little green/brown. But taking a better look I notice that the reflection was a little green because it was reflecting the inferior part of the trees. The snow is only covering the top of the leafs and what is reflected on the lake is the "inside" of those trees. And that's why the trees are white/grey, and the trees reflections on the lake are green. That's an interesting thing don't you think. (maybe I'm just making fool of myself, but that's the only explanation I find).

About the rest, it's a good composition. The trees are sharp and the water is still giving excellent reflections. I only think that you could improve the image levels to make it a little more bright. I also think that a wider-angle would work better (but this is a matter of taste).

On your comment to my photo, you said that it would be better if showed action, and that seems a bit posed. Yes, he was posing in deed. That wasn't a real action photo. But if you have the time, I would like you to visit myAction photos folder, where you can find some photo action.

Thanks and keep on shooting :-)

Talking about aesthetic, this photo isn't so powerful as other photos you have in your portfolio, but about originality, I think you can't get more further than this. This is awesome. I've already seen lots of surf images, but it's the 1st time I see a Surf image taken inside of the wall itself :-D. That's why I'm given you 5 for aesthetic and 7 for originality.

Congratulations. On the water, YOU'RE THE MAN!!!
