Thanks Walter. This was taken 1/2 hour before sun down. That is why the light is so soft. No overcast, just blue sky.

Thanks. Just sharpening and level. Nothing else. The reason for the black background is that I had to underexpose the bird so that I don't burn the highlight. The background goes than black automatically.

The lower snowy jumped in the water to get something to eat.

The upper snowy decided that this is his chance to start a mating.

The whole incidence took just a few seconds.

For me it is not about the manipulation of a photograph.

Since there is no capturing of reality with a camera.

It is what the photographer wants to communicate.

And I really like your photograph, Leslie. Well done.

I like the reflection of the sky and the mountains in the lake. The little boat is a good idea. It looks like it travels direct in the sky. Perhaps you should have payed more attention to the framing. Because there is something on the lower right site which i can not identify.;-)
