Leica CL?

-

Really, I have a Sekonic L-208, (3x) Auto Leader L-38, Gossen Profisix, (2x) Lunasix 3, LunaPro, Sixtino 2, (2x) Weston Master IV, WM V, Polaris, (2x) Voigtländer VCII, Leica Meter MR4, Metraphot... and some more, but I like all!

Sekonic L-208 or Voigtländer VCII meter, I think that are a good options. I have both and I like them.

Try a new roll and change the processing laboratory. Then you can determine if the problem is in the camera or not (I think not)

Nice pics, Eddie!
What camera did you use?

-

No, yo do not need film to release the button.

My M3 double stroke, have a "60" engraved on the seal, but I've never known what it means.

It would be nice to have some pictures.

My Electro 35 is the 90,504,446 (previous to yours) that my father bought new at the time. It's a great camera to use in automatic with priority of the aperture, but impractical for exposure changes (you can only change the selection of the sensitivity of the film). I have a parasol in the original case, instruction manual ... and is a camera that I like to use from time to time.

Yes, it seams that the solutios is change the shutter curtain. I've send one of my two IIIf to Sherry Krauter for repair and she did a very good job!

I think the same that John Tonai. The IIIa don't have the speed dial for flash.

Dear Bob. The orange filter can be used in many occasions, for example, to dramatize the sky, with white clouds in a blue sky, when you are using a black & white film. The action is between yellow filter (softer) and red filter (harder).

Yes! Sherry is a great professional.

The Minolta 280px is not the best flash for the CLE. Yo must use a flash that you can select the manual or automatic, with light sensor and f selection. The 280px is for use with Minolta cameras, with Program function.

It is very typical of these cameras. The rubberized cloth of the curtain, loses opacity with time and light leaks.

I ever use my Elmar I 50/3.5 with the Leica FISON.

Nice job!

I think that the voltage adapters with Zenner diode circuits are not a good solution, because the voltage varies greatly depending of the lightmeter circuit resistance of the camera and by this, the intensity.

I've seen this problem, with a M4-2, but with the 1/2 sec. position. The problem is the second courtain, that begin the movement too early.

Nice pics!!!

I bought a Nikon F2 and curtain (also titanium) is cut and is covered with a type of glue. Currently work!

Leica made am orange filter for the rangefinder window. This filter increase the constrast of the rangefinder's spectral image. The special names of this filters are Okaro and Orako (depending of the camera model).
Pherhaps, you can do the same for your camera.

I don't have a Leica Ia, but I have two IIIf, one is a black dial and red dial the other one. This cameras are from 1951 and 1952, and the only work that I've had to do is change the curtain.
I have the same version of the Elmar too and I must say, that it's my prefer!
