1.
My Electro 35 is the 90,504,446 (previous to yours) that my father bought new at the time. It's a great camera to use in automatic with priority of the aperture, but impractical for exposure changes (you can only change the selection of the sensitivity of the film). I have a parasol in the original case, instruction manual ... and is a camera that I like to use from time to time.

  2.
Dear Bob. The orange filter can be used in many occasions, for example, to dramatize the sky, with white clouds in a blue sky, when you are using a black & white film. The action is between yellow filter (softer) and red filter (harder).

  3.
Leica made am orange filter for the rangefinder window. This filter increase the constrast of the rangefinder's spectral image. The special names of this filters are Okaro and Orako (depending of the camera model).
Pherhaps, you can do the same for your camera.

  4. I don't have a Leica Ia, but I have two IIIf, one is a black dial and red dial the other one. This cameras are from 1951 and 1952, and the only work that I've had to do is change the curtain.

I have the same version of the Elmar too and I must say, that it's my prefer!
