Nice picture. Strong design and colors. My only nitpick is to crop it just a little higher at the bottom and eliminate that "line" between the bricks (it clashes somewhat with the white border of the frame).

Beautiful. If this were my picture (and i wish it were :) i would crop off the top flowers, leaves, and reflections, i.e. crop off right above the two leaves above the flower. That flower is so beautiful, it makes the picture and the stuff in the top just detracts from it. Having seen your flower portfolio, am i right in assuming flowers is one of the subjects you specialize in? Good for you! :)
  1. Beautiful and cropped wisely. This flower would probably also look very good in B&W with some toning. My score for originality will be a 4. Don't take that the wrong way, please. Yes, i have seen shots like this a number of times and also have done this shots a number of times. Given the preponderance of flower pictures, it's worthwhile to approach them with the idea of not to capture their beauty but to see them "differently" in order to avoid the cliché trap. Daisies don't lend themselves to that approach very well.
  2. The problem with nature photography is that it is so hard. In nature, everything harmonizes and all the elements seem to "belong". So, one wants to capture that but on a picture it gets taken out of context, so to speak. From the title i gather i'm supposed to focus most of all on the aspen but my eye is being drawn to those magnificent mountains and i'm having to make a real effort to go back to the aspens then. Also, this is a very small image and that makes it more difficult to view properly, too. To make a long story short, i guess i would have preferred those mountains just framed by the dark shapes of the forest/lower mountains and eliminate the aspen.
  3. Good image. Love the tall grass in the foreground with the water. I, too, would like to crop off part of the sky, just above the billowing cloud - would give a better tension between the "tall" grass and the "small" mountains. Alternatively, cropping off right above the mountains might result into something interesting as well.

PS: would like to leave a rating as well but haven't figured out yet how to do that (this is my first day here)
