The coy answer to your question is that a photograph on a website cannot possibly display the level of detail and subtlety of color that one would see in a real print. Therefore, one cannot adequately demonstrate a lens signature by just putting it up on this forum.
A personal, introspective answer to your question is that having used Leica, Contax, Nikkor and Canon lenses I cannot for the life of me tell the difference. Maybe with a magnifying glass I could, but until I see someone in a museum looking at photographs with a loupe I am not going to bother. I can tell the difference between a shot with a medium format camera though, and definitely large format.

I have had a hard time dealing with Friedlander's images but then I was looking at photographs by Costas Menos and Alex Webb (both Magnum photographers) and I swear they are borrowing elements out of Friedlander. So maybe pure Friendlander is like baking chocolate quite inedible by itself but mixed with a little color, better light and more intereting subject matter becomes quite appealing. Perhaps, one must study Friedlander style not because it is attractive by itself, but because it can be an influence in helping to break up formalism, convention and rigidity in ones own photography.
Sony R1 with Metz flash
in Mirrorless Digital Cameras
Posted
I would like to find out if a Metz flash (mine is an MZ-53) used on a Sony R1
camera using the SCA3602 adapter issues a pre-flash when used in TTL mode. I
know that the Sony FX-32 flash does that but it introduces tremendous shutter lag.
I have been using it with just the regular hot shoe adapter in Auto mode and it
has worked very well but would prefer to use in TTL mode so as not to have to
remember to sync the aperture on both flash and camera.
