I find a huge difference when I view photos on an LCD vs. CRT displays. For one thing the color on LCD seems much brighter than the CRT so when I edit a photo on my laptop and view it on a CRT the photo is considerably darker. Overall though I agree the CRT will be easier on your eyes especially as the cheap CRTs can have poor refresh rates which will fatigue your specs faster than a left hook to the jaw.
How do the rest of you compensate for the difference in light and dark on the different displays?
