Hey, gimme some details on what you used on this for the fire... real fire pix quantum pixelized, or one of those fire plugins (of which i've never had the chance to tamper). I usually don't use effects, I go for the extremes in grey ranges you can get when you scan 35mm film at 48-bit. That's why it interests me when someone can get such excellent results out of plugins. iceUP III is done, just a little tweaking, drop me a note. Would like to see more of this style you've got going on.

Would appreciate all feedback on this. This is part III of a set
that finds me taking a markedly different approach than I have done

Summer showers. Thanks to those who take the time to leave a good
critique behind.

From older ['02] abstract series. Many thanks to those
who take their time to leave a critique behind.

Well, now that's fantastic. I love having competition in the Digital Abstract realm, it really gives you something to roll out of bed in the morning for. And I really like what you've done here.
PS you can get some excellent textures out of simple feathers scanned on a decent flatbed scanner that can handle 2400dpi and up... and considering your heavy use of PS, even a cheapo scanner that can do 2400dpi would suffice. IMO such material would go well with what you're doing here. Keep it up: a fan now, a fan always.....
Put this up for critique, I really think more people should get the chance to see this.

Allow me to bow down in submission to your awesome talent..... this is quite the money shot..... congrats and thanks for your showing.

damn sexy, this is you?? here's my number... j/k! you have a great eye... keep up the excellent work!
it feels a little dark to me, considering that i'm viewing on my hard-to-balance laptop LCD, which always displays things a little too brightly. my reference CRT would have quite a time displaying much of this, and the CRT has been pretty damned trustworthy when it comes to doing print-out comparisons...
just a little advice from a fellow photog...

Excellent candidate for IR!!! I would only suggest trying to re scan to retain more of the highlights and shadows, and this would be excellent. Congrats!!!
