HI Nikon D100 users, I've heard this problem from some website, and I
think we should know about this. try this,
50mm f1.4d or 1.8d lens with D100, setting at M mode 30s and
Ampurture at less then f2.0 - like 1.4, 1.6, 1.8...
You will find out that shutter will closed after 15s not 30s.
well, I know that there are not many time that you will use this
setting but, I just don't like the idea of having this kind of
problem.
what do you think?

My suggestion is Nikon N80. with 50mm 1.8D lens. $450 for Camera, $100 for
lens at B&H. why? well all the new SLR digital cameras are based on this
body, D100, Kodak 14n, Fugi S2pro....Elan 7E looks weak in my mind, it's light
so if you have a bit heavey lens, it looks dangerous to me..I hope this help.
thanks

I have it and I just look at the manual for SB80DX, and it dose all TTL with N70.
I like the moving head, good result for bounce flash. one thing that I don't like is its price, almost $400!!! however, as far as just a performace is concern, I'm very happy with this.
thanks

here is my story, I always buy at B&H, however, when I tried to buy a Camera bracket by "Custom bracket", there are 3 parts;a main body, an adepter for flash, an adepter for camera body, at B&H, they have two but not all, and it says "this item is special order item it takes 3-7 days,,,," so I went to Adorama, I found all three items and thay didn't say it's out of stock or anything...so I ordered, well,
but it was, I had to wait two weeks for one item. so I don't totally trust Adorma, go to B&H,

I have a Nikon D100, I'm pretty happy about it's performance,
however, I 'd like to have a second camera and I'm considering this
Kodak DCS 760, because it's Nikon F5 body, I know the spacs, so you
don't have to tell me that but anything else, thanks.

I think this a reported problem that Nikon aware of.
Not all, but some of D100 + AF-s 28-70 lens.
You need to talk to Nikon.
Time to make a service call.
