Hi everyone ! I recently picked up another A1 body off of EBay for a

decent price. I noticed a couple of things :

1) Inside the actual body next to the mirror on the matte/dull black

surface there's a scratch about 4 or 5 mm in length exposing some

shiny metal underneath. Do you know if this sort of thing will be a

problem? Could I simply just paint over it or should I take it into

a pro-shop.

2) The lens that came attached is a new style FD 100mm lens with the

focus ring locked at infinity (I think it was an old navy surplus

lens or something). Does anyone know if it can become a free focus

lens again?

I've seen lots of posts about hoods but none specifically asking what

I am, but I still hope I'm not reposting a question already asked.

I've been looking for some hoods specifically for an FD 17mm WA, and

a 28mm WA (I believe the hoods are BW-72, and BW-55). I've tried

Ebay, but they're difficult to get a hold of (much less win the

auction). I've also tried the generic wide angle rubber hoods, but I

can see the hood on the viewfinder.

Are there any alternatives ! Can newer hoods for newer Canon lenses

be used?

Has anyone tackled this problem?
