  1. Thankx again for all the replies. Thankkgod for websites like this one ey?

If I dont have anyluck with winning those cameras, could someone do a list of models of cameras that I should look out for.

Of course I dont need the "pro" cameras, so the other models out there that are quiet good.

So that way I can keep a eye out for them on ebay, and dont have to ask all theses questions each time I find one, that I may think is good.

Oh and what lens to look out for. Is it better to buy just the body, or try and buy a camera and lens together since Iam on a budget.

    Ta Evelyn

  2. Thanks for your answers. The nikon F70 the other brand of lens was a Nikon.

I think a Nikon F80 is out of my price range.

And if just say a camera model is bought out in 1998, it doesnt mean that the model is better then a um 1994????

So really you dont look at what year the camera was bought out, but how many functions it has?????

    Does that make sence???????????

I guess I might try and bid on and win :0) the Nikon F70.

As long as its easy to understand as I think it doesnt come with a manual.

  3. Hi,

Ima looking at buying a camera from ebay.

The first one Ive been looking at is a :Nikon F70 with a AF 35-80

lens, plus a Vitacon AF 70-210lens.

The other is a :NikonF60 with a Tamron 28-200 lens.

Iam only a beginner in photography so Iam not sure which would be the

better of the two to buy.

At the moment Ive got a old Nikon EM, so Iam wonting to get a more

modern camera, which has auto and manual setting.

So what do you think???? Which one am I better off going for?????

There both of simialer price which is good, as I cant afford a brand

    new camera :0(

    Thanks Evelyn in oz

  4. O.K all you mini lab processers.

I have been told all different things about the colour wheel.

Like if you take out magenta, you add yellow etc.

So for printing photos, which are the colours your meant to take out

    and add?

I have looked up the colour wheel, but it doesnt really say how if

you have to make a photo less cyan etc.

Could some one please give me some ideas of the best way to make a

    photo with good colouring.

    Thanks Evelyn

Iam about to start a job using a Fuji Frontier.

  5. Thanks everyone for your replies.

What I mean by "Photos not coming out right", Is that half the time there either blurry or like there out of focus. I just cant seem to get the aputure correct, as the EM hasnt got a shutter speed only a apature.

So maybe I will go for a used camera.

Maybe one that will fit my lens I have now that fits me EM. Its a 50mm F2 AL Manual lens, and I have a Sigma 100mm - 200mm lens.

So What would be the best models for those lens. All I wont to do is learn to take a Nice clear picture, and with a camera which is a little easier the the EM. And yes I have bought books on the subject, and I cant seem to get it. In a roll of film about 5 shots come out nice and clear.

    Thanks Ev

  6. Hi,

I'am thinking of buying a Nikon F55 SLR Camera $500.00 AU dollars).

I have presently got a Nikon EM camera, and am getting frustrated

with the photos not coming out all the time.

The nikon F55 is in my price range, so I was hoping I could get some

feedback about that model of camera, and if its worth me getting one,

    (as Iam a very beginner:0)

Or should I get a older model Nikon, but not as old as my EM?

    Thanks Evelyn

  7. Thanks for your replies.

O.K. How do I tell if there a PROFESSIONAL lab, or just a quick and easy lab. And does the amount of films they do a day any inducation????

I just dont wont to burn my bridges at both ends, if I leave one(which I just started) and go for the other, as over here they wont let you work in two labs, as its compition to the other one, and you may tell there secrets.

  8. Hi,

I have been doing film processing on a AGFA MSC101 minilab for a few

    months now.

I now have the option to work at two different labs.

One uses the new Agfa d-lab 3 and the other uses the FUJIFRONTIER

    mini lab.

Now because Iam new to the industry and wont to learn as much as I

can about processing in minlabs, WHICH machine an I better off going

    for.

I know this must seem like a stupid question, but which machine and I

better of learning more about, and which one do you think is better.

I have as yet not used a Digital minilab.

Iam torn between which place to work at and on which machine that I

would benifit must from learning on.

    Has anyone got any ideas??????

    Thanks Ev in oz

  9. Hi,

Where taking pictures of a night, do you always have to use a flash.

I have tried without a flash and the pics came out black.

How is the best way to take pictures of the moon, stars street lights

    etc.

    I have a nikon EM with a basic nikon 50mm lens, plus I have a 100mm

    200mm sigma zoom lens.

I only have a uv filter, and a basic flash unit.

And do I need some other lens to do the trick????

    Any ideas?

    Thanks Evelyn

  10. Hi,

    I bought a sigma F1:4.5 100mm 200mm lens for my nikon em.

It also came with a Komura 2x Doubler.

    There both second hand.

Now I cant get the doubler off the lens. I got the lens and the

doubler off my camera, but after trying for hours to get this doubler

off the sigma lens, Iam starting to wonder whether I jammed it on.

Is it possiable thats why I cant get it off, as i cant seem to find

any release buttons on either of the lens.

I hope someone out there can help out, as Iam about to toss the both

    of them out the window.

    Thanks Evelyn

  11. Hi,

Now this is going to sound really silly.

i just bought a sigma zoom lens 100mm to 200mm (secon hand). it came

with a converter Komura I think its called.

Now I got both lens off the camera. (a Nikon em). But now I cant for

the life of me get this little converter thing of the lens.

I cant seem to find any buttons to push to get it off, and its

    driving me up the wall.

I hope one of you out there can help.

    Thanks Evelyn in oz

on the converter thingo it says telemores95 k.m.c for al. Then

    theres a number 3869.

    If that helps any,

  12. Well I guess it was a silly question to ask.

Well hears another one for you.

How can you tell if its a Nikon Mount??? And if it isnt as the item is on ebay, I cant look at it close up, can you buy something that will make it fit?????

    Thanks Ev

  13. Hi,

Could someone please tell me if a Sigma 100mm-200mm zoom lens will

    fit my Nikon EM?

Ive got a Nikon 50mm lens at the moment. Plus what will a 100mm-

    200mm lens do?????

Its just I have the chance to buy one really cheap.

    Thanks Ev

  14. Hi,

I need a little advice.Iam looking at a camera on ebay. Ill tell you

the conditions of it and if you all could tell me what you think.

Its for $50.00 american so its around $100.00 australian.

Ita canon T70 with some thing wrong with the strap lugs.

It comes with a canon 50mm f/1.8 lens with a little internal dust

    inside of the lens.

    Also a Tokina 35-200mm f/3.5-4.5 AT-X zoom lens, with internal dust a

nd a tiny fragment of something in the lens.

Now Iam only new to slr cameras so I dont wont to get ripped off, as

I would be buying from overseas and not in australia.

Has anyone got any opions on this one. and Iam a bit worried about

the dust in the lens, and weather it would effect the pictures you

    take.

    Thanks Ev in oz

  15. Thanks everyone for your info.

Iam starting(slowly) to get the grips of it all.

I was looking on ebay australia, cause I was a bit worried about buying things from overseas, and the dollar ratio.

Ill check out that web site though.

    Cheers Ev in oz

  16. Hi,

I have yet another Question. I have a Nikon EM with a 50mm F2 AL

    Manual Nikon Lens.

Iam looking to get some more lens. There are so many out there(on

EBAY) that I dont know which ones would fit!

Would a Vivitar 85-200mm lens fit???

Also could someone tell me what lens to go for, if any other brands

fit the em, and since Ive got a 50mm lens, what other lens should i

    look for.

And just so Iam sure, the filtes to go for are the 52mm?

    Thanking you

    Evelyn

  17. Thanks for your reply. Ive had a look at that manual, but it still doesnt explain to me what it all means as in "basic" terms.

Like half the words they use to explain things I wouldnt have a clue what they are or mean. Is there a simplier manual on the net, thats easier to understand remembering Iam a beginner.

    Ev

  18. Hi,

I have just bought a secondhand Nikon EM. It has a 50mm F2 AL Manual

Nikon Lens. Its my first SLR camera. Now Iam not sure how to use it.

I dont understand the F-stop thingo and there like a metre with a

needle when you look through the view finder.

I have tried to look for a web site that will help me explain what

all these features are. As its quiet old, I just seem to find info

    about the newer cameras.

Has anyone any ideas to help me learn what all this stuff is about

and how to use my lens and camera correctly.

I thought Id go for a old manual camera to learn on, but it didnt

    come with a manual.

    Thanks Evelyn
