I got a kick out of what I perceived as our gender roles unknowingly
displayed candidly by these two children during a wedding.

I had this a while and did not think much of it until I recently
went B&W with the image.
After the distraction of color was gone, leaving space for
interpretation, each person in the image seemed to typify an example
of the American opinion and relevance to the casualties and
sacrifices made by Americans for S Vietnam and the proliferation of
Communism. The body language of each subject, especially in
relation to their age, says something to me.
This may be a good example of the poetic capabilities and potential
of B&W images vs. color.

I'd like for the eye to be the sharpest point of the shot

Nice to see some new stuff and exploration. Your original model/spouse or what ever she is, was becoming your trademark, opposed to your creative use of light that is usually the major highpoint of your work. There is only so much you can do with that window...

Like a wild cat full of arrogance and confidence which in irony holds the pillow made of the hide of such a cat. Bet she scratches too, nice.

All comments welcome. THis shot is part of the "People, Places and
Things of West Texas" presentation.

Nice composition but with a DOF that's to shallow, losing sharpness

Nice! I assume the noise in the sky is from the jpg compression. Only thing I'd change is cropping some of the blue sky.

Too bad there is not more contrast between the insect and the tree

Looks a tad underexposed to me

The point could be clairified with a better title. Child is holding parents wedding rings. Both the rings and the child are "the product of love"

Yes this is an indoor rodeo arena and the opening ceremony. The extra flag is a sony jumbotron. I could clone the screen out but as the title of the shot says, "glory old and new" Showing the traditional display of the flag with the horse and the 21st century production of video screen flag with fireworks. It does look somewhat fake but the is what I saw through the viewfinder that day.

I can smell the mountain air!

If you have this in PS might think about boosting saturation and backing off the yellow and bumping up the the red channel a tad...my2cents that's worth 1

The texture and contrast might make a good B&W conversion?

Could you clone out the leaf in the bottom right?

Does this do anything for anybody? Spouse says clutter to the left
of frame kills it for her. Colors somewhat muted in the web color
space as seen here but image does print very vivid in adobe1998RGB
profile.

The Flower Girl
in Family
Posted
My favorite subject to shoot at weddings are the kids. They are
dressed up and assume the cutest demeanor as they participate in the
service. This flower girl was staged for a few minutes before her
walk, I knocked off a few shots and she noticed me. I think the fact
that she was being photographed, candidly, made her feel important as
seen in her expression. Just wanted to share this one.
