looks a bit over saturated on my work monitor - was fine at home - theres a good

excuse for a new one!

this was the longest exposure i could get as the sun was still quite bright - i'd have

liked a 'mi;ky' effec on the sea but it wasn't to be

1/2 second at f22

2 shells - each about 1cm across

pentax k10d - 50mm f.17M lens extenson tubes and a focus rails

messing around with new extension tubes and macro rails

pentax k10d - macro rails - extension tube - sigma 24mm f2.8 macro

taken with a 50mm f1.7 m lens on a pentax k10d.

i know the focus is on the nose and not the eyes, but i kind of like the effect with the

expression and the hand position

photoshopped a bit for glow and colour cast.

Seems strange that now i've monochromed it and taken out skin detail she looks a bit in

pain, wheras the full colour version she looks perfectly happy.

It's my daughter by the way -

I didn't have a gnd with me at the time, I'm keen to try this again though so i'll bear that in mind.
