Pascal I must admit your interpretation of the place is much better than mine - sepia tone, shadows, overall lightning and contrast (mine was taken on a very rainy and grey day), and the stairway ramp at the bottom which nicely closes the picture. I will have to come back and try again and maybe emulate the quality of your picture.

Anyhow I fully agree with you that no one owns those places. It's part of the challenge to come up with a new and better picture of a landmark. That's what I tried and more often than not failed to achieve in many pictures in my portfolio (Venice, Eiffel tower ...).
