Nice use of rectangular format.  Beautiful.

This was a tough shot in bright sunlight. I took several at different

exposures, not paying attention to the activities on the pier. I was

pleasantly surprised by this one. Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for the

critique.

I like the crop, making the subject seem small and down-trodden. Fits the look on his face.  The BW contrast ratio also fits and helps make the mood.
