This is one of the better frames from my HDR experiments this week. I
am trying to avoid the unearthly look that is a common outcome of HDR
processing with Photomatix. Does this look natural?

It was interesting to see this person in action. Does this composition
work?

What strikes you in this shot ?

I like this a lot. Wonderful colors.

Thanks Debasish, glad you like it. It was a very bright day; for this one I had to work a little to find the right angle and exposure.
Best wishes, S.

Rio-maggiore. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks Debasish. Yes, there was plenty of 'life' at the Newport festival. Hope to do some more photography in the next few months.

Bernie, thnaks. While my attempts for Pulitzer fall short, it wouldn't hurt to see some photos feature on Frommers :-)

Thanks Kim. Yes, Manorola was charming. If you do not know this already, cinque-terre is a sequence of 5 towns in the northern coast of Italy, about 2 hours from Pisa.

I did not know about this new release, thanks for the information. Listening to it now. So far I like it, will have to spin it a fe more times before I can say anything useful.

This is actually a different shot from the original b/w that was posted. I like the PS artistic effect on this one. Agree with your cropping comment. I'll have to spend some more time to get the best out of these images.
Thakns.

Totally agree with you Amar. This Newport folk festival was great musically, but from the point of view of a photographer it was singularly frustrating. (Why wont He make singers with the looks of Dylan and Baez no more?)

Unique and beautiful.

The quality of your images is consistently good. Now I see this portfolio is coming alive. IMHO, this portfolio is to be seen in totality. It draws a compelling portrait of what must be a rather unique city. The inhabitants hurriedly exit one frame of yours to sit back and sip coffee in the next frame. Its becoming like one of those modern movies where each character is played by a multitude of actors. I look forward to seeing how the story unfolds.
Just a Sunday afternoon thought.
