Nick: Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough review.

I'm planning to attend the Epson workshop in Pittsburgh in May,

and your comments (and those of the other fellow) convinced me

that it's probably worthwhile for me. I'm still clinging to film for at

least a few more years (medium format & 35mm mostly), & I'm

thinking of getting a high-end film scanner & printer very soon, so

Vignetting often occurs when I use my 45 mm lens in tandem with my

B + W Kaesemann circular polarizer. Both are 82 mm. I'm looking

for the best remedy to the problem. Going to an even bigger filter

with a step ring might work, but that may be cost-prohibitive. I know

that some manufacturers now make slimmer profile PL filters for

wide lenses, but the largest I've found are 77 mm. Any ideas??
