<p>Here's another recommendation for the BlackRapid strap. It's fantastic. Feels just as comfortable with just the body and a 50mm as it does with battery grip, 70-200 and an SB-800.</p>

<p>Made the rounds today: Bass Pro Shops, Gander Mountain, REI, and Sportman's

Warehouse. No luck on the "brolly system". However, I had a great day of shooting in a

blizzard with strong winds and temperatures around 20?F and it was the magical 2.5 gallon

Ziploc bags that made it work.</p>

<p>While still not a great solution for the long contemplative tripod shots, the Ziploc did an

excellent job protecting thousands in Nikon gear. The camera and 70-200mm f/2.8 were

exposed to the cold and snow for hours and to no ill effect.</p><div></div>

I just read the thread and went searching for the angler's shelter that Paul mentions: the one

I found looks ideal: The Fox Oval with the Oval Wrap. Apparently it's a British product that

sells for about 90 pounds - or $923,452.16 at the recent Dollar-to-Pound exchange rates

(slight exaggeration). If I can find an equivalent at Sportman's Warehouse or Cabellas, I'll
