I am planning to attend a conference which will include photo editors from major magazines. I have moved to a new market where I don't have many contacts. So, this is make-or-break and I NEED to find contacts. I am trying to think of ideas for self-promotion. Business cards are common and are regularly trashed. The same is true with brochures. Because I will be one of many photographers (dozens with name recognition), I want something that will remind a photo editor of me after the conference. I want something too fun to throw away or something tasteful that a photo editor would use regularly. Ideally, it would have several of my photos, my name, phone number etc. Has anyone seen any good ideas for self-promotion? I would appreciate any suggestions.
