Another macro. I put the processor in front of my laptop screen,
which was displaying a gradient. Shot through a sigma 105 macro, with
slow-sync flash from the side triggered wirelessly.

Interesting how the petals take on the appearance of flames. Unique perspective.

Another macro, see technical details. Thanks photo.net.

Testing out my Sigma 105/2.8 lens on my D70. I am pretty impressed
with the sharpness. Build quality/autofocus is average.
Shot on tripod at f/11 with light from a nearby window. I processed
the levels in Gimp 2. A full size, unprocessed version is available

Very good photo. The cat's personality really comes through in this photograph. The lighting is superb as well.

Wow, contrasty. Looks like something out of Edgar Allen Poe's mind.

Thank you for the feedback. I agree that the pencils are not completely straight. Also, I only had the cheap synthetic wood pencils, hence the poor texture on the sharpened pencil. I will try this again when I have some time with these ideas. Thanks,
Sam

The tortilla looks like it was burned a long time ago. As for you photograph, good work on getting the right exposure and sharpness. The embers look great.

Good composition. A polarizer would have helped alot here, to remove the sun spot form the water, as well as the glare on the lilly pads. -Sam
